The Approvals and Notes screen
Use the Approvals and Notes screen to progress the campaigns through the approval process, add notes relating to the campaign and view the progress of the campaign throughout the approval process.
Approvals and Notes screen for all users
The following options are available for approvers and users on the Approvals and Notes screen:
- Campaign View: Click this button to return to the Campaign View screen.
- Refresh: Use this button to refresh the screen to see campaign state changes and any added notes.
- Open: Opens the Campaign in Campaign Manager. This button is greyed out if you do not have permission to access Campaign Manager.
- Log: Shows the changes to statuses and notes for a campaign.

If upgrading to Campaign Manager 2016 R1, any active existing campaign logs show the User as username. All new campaigns will show the user who last modified the campaign as the by name. |
- Add Note Only: Allows notes to be added at any time.
Approvals and Notes screen for non-Approvers
The following options are available for users without approve campaigns permissions:
- Approval Group: Provides a drop-down list of approval groups to request approval from. The default option for this is No notification email requested. Only select a different option to the default if you need to request approval via email.
- Request Approval: Click this button to change the campaign state to pending approval and start the approval process. This will also send Approvals emails to the approval group selected. At this point the campaign and any linked email manager creatives are locked from change until moved back to editing.
- Withdraw Approval Request: Use this button to withdraw any campaign from the approval process and move it back to an editing state allowing changes to be made or tests to be run. No emails are sent when this is used.
Approvals and Notes screen for Approvers
- Start Approving: This option changes the state of the campaign to approving so it is clear the approval task is being performed to all users. A notification email is sent to the user that requested approval.
- Approved: Approves the campaign, allowing it to be started by any user with the correct permission. A email notification is sent at this point.
